Music Tuition | Music Interventions & Keynote Speaker

Music Lessons or Music Interventions, What’s the Difference?
Although both use music as the tool for learning, they have different aims.
Music Lessons
Music lessons focus on developing musical skills and creativity. Students learn to:
- Play instruments
- Write songs
- Produce music using technology
- Develop rhythm, melody and performance skills
- Build confidence through making music
These lessons are suitable for anyone wanting to learn and enjoy music.
Music Interventions
Music interventions use music as a way of supporting a young person’s wider development.
Sessions are tailored to help students who may benefit from additional support with:
- Emotional regulation
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Communication skills
- Social interaction
- Engagement with learning
- Focus and motivation
Rather than concentrating solely on musical ability, the emphasis is on using music to help students achieve personal, emotional and educational goals. Musical skills naturally develop along the way, but they are part of a broader journey.
I am fully DBS checked and certified, and also trained and certified as a designated safeguarding lead (DSL) with KCC. This ensures a safe, supportive environment for all my students.

Keynote Talks
Beyond Labels Journey – Keynote Speaking
My keynote is built around my lived experience of autism and Tourette’s syndrome, taking audiences on a powerful journey through four key themes: Discovery, Bullying, Hope and Success.
Through honest and personal stories, I share what it was like growing up as a neurodivergent child—navigating sensory differences, misunderstanding, bullying and self-doubt—and how those experiences ultimately shaped the person I am today.
Rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis, my keynote explores the human experience behind the labels. It offers audiences an insight into what neurodiversity can feel like from the inside, while highlighting the profound impact that understanding, support and encouragement can have on a young person’s life.
Each chapter builds upon the last:
Discovery
Understanding autism and Tourette’s syndrome through real-life sensory experiences and what it feels like to experience the world differently.
Bullying
The lasting impact that misunderstanding, judgement and exclusion can have on a child’s confidence and self-belief.
Hope
How one positive influence can help a child look beyond the labels others have given them and begin to believe in their own potential.
Success
A reminder that, with the right support and opportunities, neurodivergent children can thrive, achieve extraordinary things and make a meaningful difference in the world.
My goal isn’t simply to raise awareness—it’s to create genuine understanding. I want teachers, parents and professionals to leave with practical insight, greater empathy and the confidence to better support the neurodivergent children in their care.
At the heart of every keynote is one simple message:
Potential isn’t always immediately visible. When we choose understanding over judgement, encouragement over criticism, and possibility over labels, we don’t just change a child’s education—we can change the direction of their life.
Following the keynote, I also offer optional Q&A sessions, providing audiences with the opportunity to reflect, ask questions and explore how they can create more inclusive and supportive environments for neurodivergent individuals.
